This is no longer an active blog. Sorry about that! I've moved my most intriguing questions and answers to my personal blog, shirleytwofeathers. There are some good links here, so feel free to explore, have a great day!
Mud is fun! I have always wanted to take a mud bath at a spa! I have taken a few in the lake and those were fun, but that mud is usually sort of cold and dirty. I think the spa mud might be warmer and cleaner.
I always thought "mud-slinging" was a funny term - it is a bad thing in politics but in real life, mud-slinging is a ton of fun! It's hard to throw and you end up getting as much on yourself as you do the people you are throwing it at!
Some really hot summer day/night, we all ought to get together and make a big mud pile and roll around in it, then hose each other off!! Doesn't that sound fun?
When I was a kid we used to go "up the mountain" (Quito Ecuador is located high in the Andes mountains).. and we would find these really cool balls of dried mud. I don't know if they were some kind of natural phenomenon, or if they were created by insects or if we were unknowingly finding ancient artifacts... it didn't matter to us anyway.
The balls of dirt were about the size of grapefruits, and perfectly round. We had a lot of fun throwing them at stuff.
Sometimes, we would make our own. We'd make a small ball of mud and let it get a little dry and then add more and more layers. It was fun. I remember making a huge long row of balls one fine saturday... I must have made more than 20 of them - all big and round.. I was so proud of my accomplishment and nobody even stepped in and ruined it for me..

I love playing in the mud too.
