For the birds

If you could be a bird,
what kind of bird would you want to be?
Is that the kind of "bird" you are right now?

I would be a hawk - I have a real affinity towards them. I love that they sit up on trees and light posts and watch cars go by. And I really love the way they play in the wind on windy days. It looks really fun! I wish I could be as happy and care-free as hawks are! Not a worry in the world!!

I have one hawk friend - I haven't seen him in a while because I've been going a different way to work, but when I go his way, he always says hi to me and acknowledges me.

First, the kind of bird I am right now is a bluejay. protective of my family, and loud about it. Someday, i want to come back as an owl. I love their silent, night time rituals. but first, I would probably come back as a pigeon and follow my least favorite person around and immediately poop on his head every time he walked outside, and then do the car handles while he was inside....

I think I would want to be a Raven. They are so intelligent, and they have societies and meeting places, and it all sounds so mysterious and interesting. I would want to be a Raven so I could find out what they do and how they think.

I think that right now I am most like a woodpecker... pounding away ... compulsively ferreting out juicy little morsels from dead wood...

On the other hand, maybe I'm just a silly barnyard duck.. quack quack quack... LOL

I love to have the fantasy of having many lives especially to think that I might have been an eagle or an owl with a fantastically different vision that we as humans couldnt even imagine..
I would hope that I wouldn't end up as a pigeon intent on pooping on humans.
