Strange

Who is the strangest person you know? What makes them strange? Are you strange? What does that word even mean?

I'm sure plenty of people think I'm strange, which I probably am. To me, I guess it means "unconventional", not one to follow the crowd. I think there are different types of strange people - there are eccentric strange people, funny strange people, creepy strange people. I know lots of all of those - but I'm not naming any names. I guess what separates them all from the "normal" ones is that they somehow live life to the beat of a different drum.

I think if there was more open-mindedness in this world, there wouldn't be as many people considered strange. People tend to fear anything different that they don't understand, and many are not willing to even try to understand if they had the opportunity.

In my ramblings through cyberspace, looking for pictures for the picture blogs, I run across all kinds of strange people... doing an alarming number strange things... and it has given me a huge love and respect fo human beings. We are so awesome!

As for people I know who are "strange" - well - there are quite a few where I work, that's for sure.

And I know "strange" when I see it, but I'm not sure I could define it properly... I think it's kind of like when you look at someone and your brain goes... .... .... .... huh? .... and then you look over at the person next to you and there's that look - that thing you do with your eyes when confronted with strangeness. I'm sure people do that to me all the time.

Anyway... that's my answer.

Im sure a lot of friends (and others) have called me strange or weird...It is sad that Americans are afraid of what is different and many prefer the same bland beer or burger or friend without extending their paradigms

we can learn a lot from others that might have a totally different perspective on life!
I have travelled around the world and realized that there are many strange or "weird" customs that would make foreigners feel very different in this environment..

Maybe we might have less wars when we accept others for their differences!
