Hi there!

This is no longer an active blog. Sorry about that! I've moved my most intriguing questions and answers to my personal blog, shirleytwofeathers. There are some good links here, so feel free to explore, have a great day!

Embracing your life

Suppose you could find a simple way to embrace your life with joy, stop arguing with reality, and achieve serenity in the midst of chaos? The question is: are we brave enough to accept it?

This quote is from "Fear of Flying" by Erica Jong, I found it today and decided to post it here.

It is very easy to argue with reality but then why let that spoil our dreams? I am really excited about our new school year..
We have insurmountable goals for our school thanks to George Bush's "No child left behind" (of course he does not have to be held accountable for his war!)

my serenity is walking or riding my mountain bike to our campus in the crisp fresh mountain air after the monsoon rains cleaned it the previous evening! This morning was so beautiful! Thank You!

Yes! I am brave enough to accept it! I am ready, willing and able!

Actually, I have been trying to live life that way in the past few months and I must say I have succeeded to some degree. Amidst money problems, insurance hassles, mean people at my old job, etc., I have managed to stay relatively happy!! I have certainly had my down days, but I don't feel stressed like I have been the past few years.

It would be such a huge sigh of relief for me if I could actually DO this. And I'm working on it.. I really am.

I'm with you Cindy!
