What is your favorite memory of a fourth of July celebration?
Hi there!
This is no longer an active blog. Sorry about that! I've moved my most intriguing questions and answers to my personal blog, shirleytwofeathers. There are some good links here, so feel free to explore, have a great day!

I favorite memory has got to be the year that we spent a bunch of money on firworks, and set them off over the pond.
My little dog Cinnamin was still a puppy then, and every time we shot something off, she took after it barking, determined to catch and kill that thing! It was hilarious. I had to keep her on a flexi leash the whole time because I was really afraid that she might actually succeed.
One year when my kids were in middle school I took them and a couple of their friends to a park in Johnson County where we swam all day, then had a picnic and laid on a blanket and watched the most impressive fireworks show I had ever seen in my life! It really was a perfect day! The weather was perfect, the people around us were nice, the kids all got along and it was just a completely fun-filled day!
