The most precious thing in my car is my granddaughter's car seat because of everything it represents. First of all, it represents the fact that she exists, which is awesome! She is such a cool kid! It also represents the fact that I get her every other weekend and not just "every once in a while", which means a lot to me and is why it is permanently installed in my car. The car seat also represents keeping her safe and of course, I want to keep her safe from anything harmful - physically, emotionally, in every way - I think most parents/grandparents have safety at the top of their list for what is important for the children in their lives. Just seeing the car seat in there every day makes me think of Lexi and smile - another way of remembering to think about her and connect with her. It makes me feel special that I have a car seat for her in my car at all times - and a few toys usually, too!
