Trees

Have you ever talked to a tree? Have you ever hugged one? What does a tree have to teach you?

I believe trees feel the energy of the other trees that are gone..I sensed it especially in a small village of the grape country of New York. There was a tree that had been there since the village of Naples had its first settlers,
when it was gone the other trees gave out the energy of mourning, and the vacuum of its vacancy and then the eventual rebirth..

i like trees. they give off amazing energy. i have hugged a tree, and felt the wisdom and experience of standing in one spot for hundreds of years maybe...and the simple sadness of the forested parts of land i have walked on is tremendous. i feel protected by the trees that surround my new house, and i plan to plant a lot more. i wish people would use the other alternatives for paper and housing construction that so destroys the tree energy on our planet. trees are never unkind. they spread their branches over us like protective arms. it is insane that the amount of cruelty to trees is just widely accepted by the general population. people can't think of a tree having feelings. but they do have souls, i truly believe that, and if they do, then they do feel that disturbance of having no control over what happens ot them, and the experience of dying just like every other living thing.

I have never really hugged a tree. Many years ago my husband and I held on the a newly planted tree to keep the wind from blowing it over...our reward is that today is towers over our home. I believe the lesson of trees is endurance and shelter.

I love trees. I would so much like to be that well rooted. I have hugged a lot of trees. Whenever I feel out of sorts with life, if I stand up against a tree, with my backbone in alignment with the trunk of the tree, I always feel the energy shift... I wonder why I don't do that more often... Now, for example...

I remember once when we had a terrible ice storm, hearing about a man who walked out into his yard and a huge tree branch fell off his tree and killed him. I have always wondered what sort of relationship those two were engaged in... why the tree wanted so much to kill him...
