Who are you listening to?
Hi there!
This is no longer an active blog. Sorry about that! I've moved my most intriguing questions and answers to my personal blog, shirleytwofeathers. There are some good links here, so feel free to explore, have a great day!

I am listening to the moon of course ;), the monsoons that just started this summer, my dog. I don't listen to a restrictive government, organized religion's warped idea of the way we should behave. I listen to those that listen to me and are patient and understanding. I don't listen to those that jump to conclusions and have a close mind to different perspectives possibly because they have been damaged by the whims and conformity of society. I hope this makes sense?
I'm listening to people who are open minded and honest. I definitely listen to Shirley, Melissa and Michelle - all 3 of whom are part of this project and whose words of wisdom I value highly.
I also listen to Linda Ronstadt, Carly Simon and Garth Brooks a lot. They don't listen to me, though.
When I can shut up long enough to actually do it, I do listen:
I listen to my friends and family, because I know they care about me and have my best interests at heart. So I listen to Cindy, Melissa, Daniel, Sandra, Michelle, Sky, Saskia, and Gracie.
I also listen to my mother. She, more than anyone else I know except for my dad, has managed to navigate life by actually walking her talk. And even though I don't agree with her on a number of things, I do respect what she knows and would really like to be a lot more like her.
I listen to my inner critic way too much and the "should" guy gets quite a lot of attention from me too.
I also listen to the bullfrogs in my pond, the cicadas in the trees, the leaves and the wind.
And I listen to myself.
