I am sure there are ways in which my life parallels my mom's... but right now, I cannot see them. The differences though are, actually now that I think about it, the very things that I would very much like to be living...
For example: My mother has the courage of her convictions and she walks her talk. Not very many people do that... I don't do that. But I would really like to.
She is sure of her spirituality and practices it every day... all day... I don't have that either, and I would really like to.
She is the most compassionate person I know, a healer... if you are sick, and my mother takes care of you... it feels so nurturing and nourishing.. I cannot describe it.. I wish I was like that.. However, if you are sick and I take care of you, I can be really nice for about a day and a half and then I am done and it's "get better or I might kill you"...
I think that most of my unhappiness with myself and with my life in general stem from the longing to live up to her example..
