I would spend hours and hours writing some obsurd and interesting scenario that was totally untrue.. like how I got stranded on the island.. aliens.. cannibals.. the love of my life.. maybe even a merman..
Then I'd throw that in and be hugely disappointed when it wasn't in the news the next day!

I am so silly!
I would put the location I threw it into the ocean in the bottle along with my name and address in hopes of someone finding it oceans and continents away and then writing me and becoming a penpal and friend! Although in reality, it would probably end up washing ashore a few miles down from where I threw it in and some crazy stalker would find it! Either that, or it would end up in a trash dumpster on board a fishing vessel.
